High-E
- High-E must be fed in conjunction with a minimum of 1% of bodyweight of good quality pasture, hay and/or chaff.
- If feeding more than 0.5% of bodyweight of High-E plus other grains per day, divide the total daily amount into two or more equal meals.
- Introduce High-E into the diet slowly over 7 to 14 days.
- Ensure all horses have access to clean, fresh water and a salt lick.
- The feeding rates for High-E are provided as a guide only. The actual amount fed should be adjusted according to the horse’s current workload, temperament and body condition.
- If horses need additional energy to maintain the desired body condition and workload, oats, steam rolled barley or similar high energy feeds can be fed in addition to the recommended amount of High-E.
